When I came across Symphonic Choirs, I was stunned! The demo page had some great examples of what could be done, but I needed to try it for myself, make it work for me, with my music, my ideas. The fi... read more [+]rst song I wrote with SChoirs took quite a bit of time and effort. There is a steep learning curve involved if you want to do more than simply use the "Oh", "Ah", or "Mm" choir sounds as background. To have the choir Sing with some authenticity requires the use of Wordbuilder, and dealing with words from a how-speech-and-language-are-made-up point of view. Not easy. Do-able, yes. Easy, no. My first song took me a month to master, and it was worth it! Eventually I will have learned Wordmaster well enough so that I can just sit down and let it flow. Right now, it's just sweat, time, and more editing. I must say, that the results are worthwhile if you have the time to invest. A great concept come to life! If you go to East/West Forum you'll see the problems with Symponic Choirs. The range of the voices is a 3rd too small, especially in the sopranos and basses. There is no support for SC, but a lot of... read more [+] support for Word Builder. The previous review said its possible to use SC w/o Word Builder. SC's own manual says not to do this. Overall, even though the samples are great, the lack of a true choir range makes me very dissapointed with this product. close [-]
