Customer Reviewsfrom Norman, OK May 16, 2012Music Background: Professional Musician and Teacher Super Sonic 60 HeadGreat Head. Plugged it into a Vibro King extension cabinet and was gigging with it that night. Lots of great punch and plenty of head room for indoor or outdoor gigs. Great Amp!!!from Aberdeen, NC USA March 28, 2011Music Background: Musician Why Didn't I Buy One Sooner?!!!I used to play through a late 60's Fender Bassman head, with Marshall 4X12, back in the day, and the Super-Sonic gives that same low-end kick, and clean high end. I play it through a Mesa 4X12 Slant Cab, and the sound is incredible. Sometimes I down size my rig and play the Super-Sonic through my Fender Deluxe 1X12 extension cabinet, and even with just the single Celestion V30, it is amazing. All I can say is 'Wow'... Why didn't I buy one sooner?!!! from Washington, IL May 30, 2011Music Background: 10+ years playing in live bands and recording Super Sonic 60 Watt HeatI have the Super Sonic 22 Combo for smaller gigs but needed more power for outdoor gigs. This 60 watt head with my 2 x12 Vintage 30 cabinet is a tone monster. I would give it 5 stars if it had reverb. No big deal though as I use a Strymon Sky Blue Reverberator and it sounds great.Great clean channel as you would expect from a Fender. The burn channel is very versitile and covers all the ground you need, with the exception of hard core metal. Our band plays 4-5 tunes in drop D and with a little boost from my Xotic BB Preamp I can easily get into heavy rock territory. Effects loop is awesome with send & return levels for dialing in your modulation effects. I have had many different amps from Fender, Marshall, etc. and this has to be the most versitile amp I have played to date. Very easy to dial in a great tone. It is perfect for my style covering blues, classic rock, and hard rock. This amp is a winner! |
