An absolute must for MIDI drums!

I've used this software for only a month and I am impressed with how amazing these drums sound. Every piece of three different sets were recorded individually at different velocities and at different points on the cymbals. You don't just get the close mic sound when triggered, you also get what was captured with overheads and room mics. If that's not enough, they also give you a complete mixer, SSL-style EQ, tape saturation emulator, and much more. When you've finished, you'll have a drum track that sounds just like you recorded it yourself in a pro studio. Best money I've ever spent.

Get Ready to be Amazed

What a great package. It's beautiful, easy to navigate, and sounds like a million bucks. You can use the supplied grooves or use it as a sound module. You can drop drum patterns into your favorite DAW. You've got control over tuning, individual mic volumes, room mics etc, not to mention some really great effects. Now, the beef...the supplied drum patterns are to my taste a little sterile. I'm waiting for N.I. to bring out the "Groove Packs" with some tasty New Orleans funk, some Steve Gadd magic and maybe for good measure some Caribbean grooves. All in all though, I would have to say that this is one of the coolest software packages I've ever purchased.

Super realistic sounds

A little bit on the CPU intensive side, but the sounds are totally legit. The addition of the pre-programmed MIDI beats was something that I didn't think I'd use, but they actually do make the programming much much easier, and the drag-and-drop interface is super easy to use.

Great sounds!

The sounds from these kits are very clean and useable. I've been a long time user of the Superior line both EZdrummer & Superior drummer. This set stands right up there with Toontracks stuff and in some instances outshines. My particular favorites are the snares and hi hats on the Studio kit (dry). It does take getting used to the interface in reference to getting the individual tracks to multi out to my host DAW. Gave it 4 stars because I didn't find the included processing tools to be as effective as the plugins I have in my host DAW. Other than that, I love the sounds.
