This was an eye opener, I had always used the regular digital tuners with equal temperment. Strobo Flip has presets with various "sweetened" tunings customized for individual instruments and you can r... read more [+]eally hear the difference. Also with the acoustic guitar setting I can capo up 3 or 4 frets without going sharp and having to retune, even when playing with the harmonica. I use the just intonation setting for tuning my harmonicas and for the first time they sound right with the guitar. I also purchased the Strobo Clip for live performances, and this may be all you need if you're just tuning a guitar. If you're in a band you probably want the Strobo Flip though so you can run a line out from the board and everyone can use it. I decided to take a chance and purchase a demo model, so as to save a couple chips, and I have to say I'm just incredibly pleased with the Peterson. I don't write reviews because so much of music, instrumentation, tone, quality, etc., is so subjective it's hard to have anything to say that could possibly be valid without something more substantive. But my Strat has never sounded so perfect! With the multiple temperaments and sweeteners to help perfectly fine tune multiple instruments it's hard to go wrong. The tuner is accurate to 1/1000th of a semitone...good enough for me! More than that is how sensitive and responsive the four octave bands are and how precisely they facilitate tuning and intonation accuracy. The price is indeed ridiculous for this little plastic square--$200??--but at this point in my musical career having a guitar with intonation as perfect as it can be is worth it. close [-] This Tuner Has It All
