A True Icon (The Fender Strat Standard)

Been playing guitar for over 15years professionally in the Gospel Ministry. Brought a used 2005 Fender Standard (purple in color), with a maple neck/fretboard. The neck is silky smooth and I was quite amazed at how low the action could be set with no string buzz and/or loss of sustain, still get a great singing note. Of course, like all Fenders, the body huges you, great feel. Amazingly there is no microphonic feedback from the ceramic magnet single coil pick-ups. True Fender tone lights the arenas and churches with the Fender Standard!!!!!!!!!!

  Nothing Standard about this Strat!

I went looking for a second electric for stage use. I have owned a Les Paul Double Cut, SG Standard and have recently purchased a Squire 51 which I love. I went looking for a Strat and played customs, American made and this blue Mex strat caught my eye. Played for an hour amazed the neck was faster than the others I played. Very low action with no buzz on anystring on any fret. It was the best playing guitar of anykind I have ever played. Plugged in it responded the same. This guitar now resides close to my heart. Fender's improvements on the foreign made strat and makes it not only even with the American made strats, this one surpassed them all. If you have a low budget or money to spare, check this baby out. You'll buy it after you tried it.
