Worn In All The Right Places! Fender's Time Machine Series pays homage to specific years of classic designs. These collectibles are built to exacting specs of their respective vintages including body contours, neck shape, fingerboard radius, pickups and electronics. Original materials, tooling and production techniques are employed whenever possible to maintain the integrity of these instruments. Available in three distinct custom finish packages (New Old Stock, Closet Classic and Relic) making these instruments collector's items right out of the box! This recreation of the '56 Strat incorporates a lot of the unique details from that year including a new truss rod size, a 10/56 neck (named for the month and year of neck that's been replicated), 2-piece Alder body, and single-ply pickguard. Fender has even recreated tooling holes and marks made during the original production process. The hardware on this collectible is Gold Plated for an extra shine that you won't find everywhere. Everything that made the Strat a legend! Relic - Like an old friend that's been with you through it all. A note about the finish: Completely worn in, like your favorite pair of jeans! Shows natural wear and tear of years of heavy use - nicks, scratches, worn finish, rusty hardware and aged plastic parts.
