Stratocaster Pro - Designed with the Professional Player in Mind The magic of the Fender Custom Shop is in the hands of the builders! Their years of experience, range of skills and expertise at their craft make every Fender guitar they build highly sought-after by players, celebrities and collectors. The Stratocaster Pro guitar was designed with the professional player in mind, with features and looks representing 20 years of the Custom Shop's most requested modifications. Every feature here has been proven on other models; many have only been offered on the personal instruments of various artists and have never been offered together on one guitar-until now! Fender Custom Classic Stratocaster Pro at a Glance:
Closet Classic - the full treatment The Stratocaster Pro features "Closet Classic" treatment-built as if it was bought new in its respective model year, played maybe a few times per year and then carefully put away. It has a few small dings, a mildly checked finish, lightly oxidized hardware and aged plastic parts. Other features include a Custom Classic tremolo, locking tuners and LSR roller nut, a 12"-radius satin-finish neck with American Standard frets, a big-peg headstock, a neck access heel that was available only on the Jeff Beck Signature Statocaster, Fender's Greasebucket tone circuit (eliminates the usual gain loss when using the tone control), and a nitrocellulose lacquer finish. Sumarium Cobalt Noiseless Pickups For years, pickup designers have been striving to develop the ultimate noise-free single coil replacement pickup-a pickup with as little 60 cycle hum and extraneous noise as possible, with the classic bell-like tones and fidelity of Fender's standard-setting, original designs. In 1995 Fender began working closely with the legendary pickup designer Bill Lawrence to develop a pickup that would accurately reproduce the B string on a five string bass while still retaining the unique tonality of the Fender Jazz Bass. Since then, Fender has been working closely with Bill to fine tune his designs to incorporate into the American Deluxe Series instruments. They wanted pickups with no hum; no microphonics; close to zero magnetic interruption of the string path; and the widest sonic parameters possible-everything from Fender's classic single coils to tones not yet imagined. The result is Fender's SCN Series samarium cobalt pickups - the heart and soul of the American Deluxe Series guitars and basses. Modern "C" shape maple neck The Strat's lightly figured, comfortable modern "C"-shape maple neck is complemented by a maple fingerboard with 22 medium-jumbo frets, and Fender Deluxe cast/sealed machine heads. The maple fingerboard is what gives the Custom Classic Strat that bright, "poppy" classic Fender attack. Alder is a wood with a rich, smooth mid-range with not too much treble or bass - it has the classic rock and roll sound. The select alder body of the Custom Classic Stratocaster Pro brings the sound of Hendrix, SRV, and John Mayer to the table. Fender Custom Classic Stratocaster Pro Features:
