  My Main Player
by Scott from New York, June 2008
Music Background:  Teacher, studio musician.

Been playing for 30 years. Have 16 guitars. Needed a guitar to keep in car for teaching, rehearsels, beach gigs..places where if the guitar gets nicked I wouldnt worry. Bought this guitar used from 1st looks alone - natural ash body (my favorite). Second , it sounds better and feels better than my USA strat. Now you cannot pull this guitar away from me.

one of the best strats on the market today.
by AJ from perkasie,pa usa, April 2008
Music Background:  pro musician

WOW!what a great all around guitar,tone-feel and play ability this strat has it all and some. i like this guitar more than the american standard strat.the lite ash has better tone and sustain.the feel of this guitar is awsome. its just a fantastic guitar PERIOD!

  Like a Beautiful Woman!!
by Jeff Myers from Germantown, Ky, December 2007
Music Background:  Live Performer (33 years), some studio work, Keys too and "Fender" Bass

I was looking at American Fenders (all i've ever owned) when I saw her in the store on a display stand!! I played her, bought her!! Then I had her re-strung and set up. Sustain like crazy, 2 point tremelo I can work with the heel of my hand and no bar!! I got the Natural and she looks like a million dollar Blonde!! Feeds back on lead sounds easy, Buddy Holly straight up on clean!! If it said "Made in USA" I'd give her a 10!!

  My main axe
by TwinReverb from Florida Panhandle, July 2007
Music Background:  Classical college, modern experience.

I love this guitar. It's my main axe. The neck, while "modern C" in shape is on the big size for my hands, but is awesome. Feels great. The pickups are the best I can imagine for a Stratocaster purist. Seymour Duncan makes the A2Ps beautiful and clear. For single coils, they're almost in the medium output category, yet they're beautiful and soft on the high end. This guitar has plenty of bass, and it might not be tight bass like a JB or other Duncan pickup, it's still got nice bass (and ash has beautiful low frequency overtones). I play a lot of Hillsong and other worship music, and it's an excellent budget guitar. I'd buy another if mine was stolen or broken.

Bang4buck Strat
by Malcolm Clark from N.California, November 2005

Sweetwater tech dude described this axe as the best value available in a production Strat and I'd have to agree--it deflates the mystique of having to go with an American made model. I bought it for authentic Strat tones in a beautiful package (points for setup by Sweetwater). The Seymour Duncans deliver the real deal sound, the wood is all beautiful, everything feels tight and solid--a joy to play--tough to put down. I replaced the tuning keys with Schallers in response to consistent complaints in reviews about the stock parts--other than that, it is as good as any Strat and for a great price.

i like it
by dredz, her denial from uk, October 2005

pretty kool guitar...plays so nicely...neck is beutiful, looks good...the sound is nice, altho i advise using at least gage 10 strings on it if u are lookin to use it for heavier music as i do..good guitar, good price, gets the job done..sorted...
altho i have recently been gettin a lil bit of buzz... from the pickups... prolly just my amp tho so..still, good guitar, i like it

Fender Lite Ash Strat
by Anonymous , July 2005

Here's the right Strat for the right $$!! I have played a bunch of American Strats over the last 20 years, and this little Korean can hold it's own with the best of them. (I am definitely not a global snob...good is good no matter where it came from!) Seymore Duncan pickups provide every characteristic Strat tone I want, without any sign of unwanted hum.
...And, this is just a beautiful slab of wood! Lots of character to the Ash grain, absolutely gorgeous curly maple fretboard, & maple neck. The gloss finish makes it jump out even more.
I like everything about this one, without question.

Kicking Lite Ash!
by AJC from Providence RI, March 2005

Not trying to kiss up...but should of bought it here at sweetwater! This guitar is better than you have a right to ask for for $510! Why I say buy it here is because they set em up right before they ship. Mine was NOT!
The guitar plays as well as any American strat I have ever touched. The maple neck is a site to behold. Med Jumbo frets really let you put a seriuos bend on the strings. A tone monster! Seymour Duncan pickups really get the job done. This Strat will make tone like any american plus a bit more. Capable of metal (if thats your thing) while retaining the Fender twang you expect. Finish was flawless. ( I got the natural) If I have one concern it is the pegs. I may upgrade as the guitar goes out of tune to often. Not really bad...but enough. Overall, if your in the market for a $500 axe. This is the one!!!!!
