Robertofrom Novi, MI July 7, 2011 Music Background: Hobbyist, Semipro Musician Amazing GuitarI've always wanted to like Strats and seemed to never find the "one". That is until I tried this one. The quality of the finish and the components rival my PRS, which retails for twice the money. This has become my number one and it's the one gigged currently. I'd say try the neck first as it is unique, ironically it's 75% of what I love about it. The other selling factor was the pick up. To me, they are perfect. The "bag" is more than a bag and pretty cool. The InCase bag sells for more than a case, and I like it.

I tried the American Standards, Eric Claptons, American Deluxe, and so on. The John Mayer is a great rock, blues, and funk guitar. The olympic white and rosewood fingerboard look outstanding. The maple neck is smooth and I can use my thumb up and down the register. This is definitely what an old school strat should sound and look like. It is lite weight and comfortable to stand around with it.
