From Our Research Team:
Your Chance to Play John Mayer's Signature Axe!The old-school blues guitar gets a new voice! Pick up the John Mayer Signature Stratocaster® and you immediately know you're holding a very special Strat®. This is no off-the-shelf instrument with a signature attached; the John Mayer Strat® is built to the Grammy-winning artist's personal specs. You get a unique, slightly bigger C-shaped neck profile and a trio of Big Dipper single-coil Strat pickups (with a special "scooped" midrange voicing), for starters. Five tremolo springs are installed at the factory, and the string tree is a bit further from the nut than it would be on a standard Strat. Grab the John Mayer Signature Stratocaster and you know you're playing a modern blues-rock tone machine!
Fender John Mayer Signature Stratocaster Unique Features:
Fender John Mayer Signature Stratocaster Solidbody Electric Guitar Features:
You could easily make the case that FENDER® electric guitars were responsible - at least in great part - for the birth of modern rock 'n' roll. Originally designed to be easier to build, and thus more affordable, Leo Fender's masterpieces, which include classics like the Stratocaster (is there a more distinctive guitar shape in the world?), the Telecaster® and the original Precision Bass®, were at the core of a musical revolution that spawned everything from surf to country to punk!
In the 1960s, when Fender guitars first hit bandstands and stages all around the country, it was astonishing to see that trademark Fender maple neck and fingerboard. Though the company eventually offered rosewood fingerboards as standard or optional on its entire line of instruments, those first"blond" necks really shook things up. Others have picked up on the maple neck theme, but it's clearly yet another of Leo Fender's "firsts."
Today, no other manufacturer can match Fender for the sheer number of options available throughout its entire line. While vintage Fenders can command astronomic prices, the company now has the widest range of quality instruments in the world, along with the highest profile players like Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan, all of whom are legendary.

by Roberto from Novi, MII've always wanted to like Strats and seemed to never find the "one". That is until I tried this one. The quality of the finish and the components rival my PRS, which retails for twice the money. T... read more [+]his has become my number one and it's the one gigged currently. I'd say try the neck first as it is unique, ironically it's 75% of what I love about it. The other selling factor was the pick up. To me, they are perfect. The "bag" is more than a bag and pretty cool. The InCase bag sells for more than a case, and I like it. close [-]

by from Upstate,NYI have always played Telecasters and I needed to have a strat. I tried the American Standards, Eric Claptons, American Deluxe, and so on. The maple neck is smooth and I can use my thumb up and down the register. This is definitely what an old school strat should sound and look like. It is lite weight and comfortable to stand around with it. close [-]
