A Very Cool Straightforward Stratocaster! The Fat Strat® is a classic FENDER® design with two single coil pickups, a Fender Stratbucker humbucking pickup in the bridge (lead) position, and special switching. Fender Standard Stratocaster® at a Glance: Classic Fender Strat with 2 single coil and 1 humbucking pickup. Solid Alder body with brown sunburst finish, maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. Special switching. Vintage style synchronized tremolo bridge. The Standard "Fat Strat" HSS features a solid Alder body with a brown sunburst finish, and a one-piece, Eastern hard rock maple neck with rosewood fingerboard and is equipped with chrome hardware. The Fat Strat gives players looking for a more aggressive sound the comfort, responsiveness and feel of a real Stratocaster®.
