This is a great guitar

When I got this guitar, I knew I was going to get something reliable, but man I didn't know what a great guitar this would be. I love it, I can't seem to tear myself away from it. I love the clean bluesy sounds with it, and then flip on some distortion and your rockin'! And the whammy bar much to my surprise doesn't pull the guitar horribly out of tune. I love it.

Good, but heavy, guitar

I love this guitar. It's my first Strat, and definitely not my last. The ash body (i think) makes it ridiculously heavy, it's heavier than my friend's Epiphone Les Paul. The 7 way switching is great, it took me a while to figure out what the button did. It stays in tune very well when using the tremolo, and I haven't done a single thing to the nut, tuners, or the tremolo. The gold hardware isn't as shiny as it once was, but since it's a 1999-2000 model, why should it be? I got it with a maple neck, which looks really good because of its vintage-style tint. It handles palm-muting pretty well, too.

Deluxe Players Strat

This is a great concept: provide a package of the players' most desired features in one reasonably priced guitar. There are, however, some problems. The ash body on mine was not musical instrument grade--it was not even furniture grade. There was a small crater on the fingerboard, and a tiny volcano near the bridge that was beginning to send eruptions to the surface. The nut at high E was cut wrong, leaving the string to slide off the neck. The frets were sharp enough to draw blood. There was a stream of oil coming from a tuning key, and the pickups, while noiseless, lacked any character. No cluck, no quack, and POOF! No reason to buy. I sent it back.

Our Customers Say...

When it came time to start from scratch with the studio, I had a lot of questions. The Sales Engineers I've worked with are really friendly and patient, and the guidance they provided was invaluable; they basically helped build the studio.
