Love this guitar!I've been playing guitar for about 2 years now (mainly acoustic guitar) and decided to try out an electric guitar. Its been 3 months now and I'm in love with this guitar. The build quality, sound and components are all great.
In short, great looks, great sound and great buy.

Guitarist, Jarmels, 1st ever to have 1-hit wonder plus, 50 yrs later, their first CD, 2011. Too sweet. Check it out. TY ; )
Ultra versatile Lone Star, does the job for R&B and moreSo, yo want to play the blues without Lucille, and we DO love B.B., don't we? No problem. ... and we DO play a great rhythm guitar, don't we? I mean, everything from the late 30s (Just the Way You Look Tonight, Fred Astaire) to Sinatra to Bill Haley to Chuck Berry to Runaround Sue (Dion from da Bronx) to My Girl and Supremes to the Beatles, Stones, Who, Clapton (we are not worthy, but we will play Layla) all the way through today's club mixes... and you have only, what $600 or so? ... Game, set and match. The arctic white Lone Star, I changed the pick guard to all white, sweet Duncan hummers and 2 Texas coils, Rosewood, 9 gauge -- oh cmon, don't woos out on crushing some lightning lead riffs -- and the switch has 5 positions ... hook this up to the surprising power of a Blackstar T5 and... you've got sunshine... on a cloudy day! ... If it's good enough for The Jarmels (um, that would be, um, yes, me, Double R), it sure as shootin' and pickin' is great enough for you. ... A MUST in your guitar toolshed. Thank you, Fender. WE are not worthy! Rock on !

Excellent Value! For the price, you can't beat it. Pickups are an upgrade over the usual Mexican Strat pickups. The Pearly Gates HB is thick and warm and has a great overdrive when you push it. Body finish is nice, the neck on mine is very straight, and I was able to set it up with very nice, low action. Fret end were a bit sharp, as is often the case with an MIM Fender. A little careful work with a small file,. and it's nice. Worth the work to end up with a great axe at a good price.

GREAT PLAYERMy Lonestar Strat finally arrived and what a great sounding instrument. Yes, it is made in Mexico, however, when I test drove one at my local Guitar Center, the feel and playability exceeded many of the expensive American Strats. The pickups are really great sounding with clear tones. When overdriven, they are really punchy and can handle everything you throw at them with the exception of hard core Death Metal. I have a Peavey Wolfgang Special and needed a second guitar that was extremely versatile and could handle anything I could throw at it. The Lonestar Strat with the humbucker for extra power, fit my needs perfectly. Also, Sweetwater does at fantastic job at going the extra mile for its customers. Thanks Sweetwater. For the price, I highly recommend tha you check out this guitar.
