The Fender Custom Shop Classic HBS-1 Stratocaster NOS merges the best of vintage and modern design elements to create a supremely playable instrument that's full of tonal options. The Team-Built Classic HBS-1 Stratocaster NOS is constructed from a 2-piece premium ash body and loaded with the unique combination of two custom '69 single-coil Strat pickups and a Seymour Duncan SH-4 humbucking pickup with the added bonus of S-1 switching for an amazing array of available sounds. Body and neck
Spending an hour or two onstage with a guitar slung over your shoulder can really take it toll. The 2-piece ash body is both lightweight and sonically pleasing, offering plenty of trademark Strat sparkle and spank. A thin-skin nitrocellulose-lacquer finish lets the true tone shine through. The 1-piece maple neck boasts a 9.5" radius and 21 medium jumbo frets for easy bending of notes.

Electronics
Residing inside the the 3-ply mint green pickguard are a pair of gray bobbin custom '69 pickups in the middle and neck positions for classic Strat tones. At the bridge resides a Seymour Duncan SH-4, a pickup renowned for high output and singing highs, making it the quintessential rock 'n' roll pickup. As if that's not enough tone to make anyone happy, the Classic HBS-1 Stratocaster NOS's standard 5-way switching is augmented by S-1 switching. Positions 1 and 2 on the 5-way switch are somewhat magical on this guitar, as engaging the S-1 switch in these two positions turns on only the rear humbucker coil. While in positions 1 and 2, the second tone control acts as a neck blend control.

As if there wasn't enough coolness packed into this guitar, the Custom Shop added unique vintage-style features such as aged knobs and switch tip, a bone nut for natural tone and sustain, and a Custom Shop Limited Edition Neck Plate.
