The American Strat Goes Upscale with the Custom Classic The magic of the Fender Custom Shop is in the hands of the builders! Their years of experience, range of skills and expertise at their craft make every Fender guitar they build highly sought-after by players, celebrities and collectors. That's the case with the Custom Classic Stratocaster C-Neck! Fender Custom Classic Stratocaster C-Neck at a Glance:
The Custom Classic Stratocaster is the Custom Shop's version of Fender's American Series Strat. It offers custom detailing, classic Fender contours and legendary Strat tone. The aged white plastic parts contribute to the Strat's classic looks, and a new deluxe 2-point synchronized tremolo with polished solid stainless steel saddles and block make it fun to play. Premium Ash body and "C"-shape maple neck The Fender Custom Classic Stratocaster includes additional upgraded features. It's built with a thin-finished premium ash body. The Strat's lightly figured "C"-shape maple neck is complemented by a maple fingerboard with 22 medium-jumbo frets, and Fender Deluxe cast/sealed machine heads. The maple fingerboard is what gives the Custom Classic Strat that bright, "poppy" classic Fender attack. Ash is a bright body wood with a clear, tight focus. Ash-bodied guitars are used by players like Eddie Van Halen, Kieth Richards, and Roy Buchanan. The combination of maple fingerboard and ash body makes for a guitar that's great for rhythm, country twang, and searing rock leads. Modern Classic single-coil pickups Fender has upgraded the Custom Classic Stratocaster pickup section, too. The Strat's three Modern Classic single-coil pickups include the Hot Classic bridge pickup with a custom steel inductance plate. Also onboard this Strat is a 3-ply parchment pickguard and a Custom Classic 2-point synchronized tremolo with milled solid-stainless saddles, solid steel spring block, and pop-in arm. Fender Custom Classic Stratocaster C-Neck Features:
When you buy a Fender Custom Classic Stratocaster C-Neck from Sweetwater, it's like having one made just for you - aside from our 55-point quality control evaluation and basic setup, the only person who puts their hands on it is you! Fender Guitars You could easily make the case that Fender electric guitars were responsible - at least in great part - for the birth of modern rock 'n' roll. Originally designed to be easier to build, and thus more affordable, Leo Fender's masterpieces, which include classics like the Stratocaster (is there a more distinctive guitar shape in the world?), the Telecaster and the original Precision Bass, were at the core of a musical revolution that spawned everything from surf to country to punk! In the 1960s, when Fender guitars first hit bandstands and stages all around the country, it was astonishing to see that trademark Fender maple neck and fingerboard. Though the company eventually offered rosewood fingerboards as standard or optional on its entire line of instruments, those first "blond" necks really shook things up. Others have picked up on the maple neck theme, but it's clearly yet another of Leo Fender's "firsts." Today, no other manufacturer can match Fender for the sheer number of options available throughout its entire line. While vintage Fenders can command astronomic prices, the company now has the widest range of quality instruments in the world, along with the highest profile players like Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan, all of whom are legendary. |
