A Modern Strat with Vintage Appointments During the half century since its introduction, the Strat® has undergone many small, but important design changes - some good and some . . . well, let's just say a bit funky and leave it at that. But here is a new American Deluxe Strat that truly combines the very best classic and modern features. If you loved the old vintage '50s soft "V" neck profile or the look of a well-aged maple neck, this one's for you! Fender American Deluxe Strat V Neck at a Glance:
Yeah, It Looks As Good As It Sounds Though the original Stratocaster® was first introduced more than 50 years ago, it's more popular now than ever, and the American Deluxe Series instruments are the end result of 50 years of evolution. This new guitar takes the Stratocaster right into the 21st Century with that sleek, supple Strat design over a select alder body with the distinctively vintage Honey Blonde color with a jewel-like polyurethane finish. Each American Deluxe Strat V Neck features a special matching pickguard. In this case, the Honey Blonde finish is beautifully complemented with a single-ply copper vinyl pickguard along with special aged plastic parts. The Trademark Strat Sound . . . and More The original Strat had three single coil pickups, but the American Deluxe substitutes three specially-designed Samarium Cobalt Noiseless single coil pickups, so you get instant access to all those classic, glossy Strat tones with a simple flick of the five-position blade switch. But there's more here than meets the eye! By simply pushing down on the volume control, you can access the bold new sounds available thanks to Fender's exclusive S-1 switching. This gives you incredible new pickup combinations like the neck pickup in parallel with special capacitor and in series with the middle pickup. If you want a gorgeous Strat with both vintage and modern guitar timbres and features, you owe it to yourself to strap on an American Deluxe Strat V Neck! S-1 Switching
Fast Playing Soft "V" Maple Neck Leo FENDER® wasn't afraid to "think outside the box" when it came to guitar designs. In the 1950s and well into the 1970s, the blond natural maple neck became almost synonymous with Fender guitars. This American Deluxe Strat keeps the trademark maple neck and fingerboard, but this one has that special '50s soft "V" shape that many players prefer (Eric Clapton and Buddy Guy to name just two) along with a 9.5-inch radius. To duplicate the look of a vintage Strat that's been played for years in smoky clubs, the maple neck is specially tinted to deliver a true classic vibe. However, in keeping with contemporary player preferences, the neck is finished in smooth satin polyurethane. Fender American Deluxe Strat V Neck Features:
Fender Guitars You could easily make the case that Fender electric guitars were responsible - at least in great part - for the birth of modern rock 'n' roll. Originally designed to be easier to build, and thus more affordable, Leo Fender's masterpieces, which include classics like the Stratocaster (is there a more distinctive guitar shape in the world?), the Telecaster® and the original Precision Bass®, were at the core of a musical revolution that spawned everything from surf to country to punk! In the 1960s, when Fender guitars first hit bandstands and stages all around the country, it was astonishing to see that trademark Fender maple neck and fingerboard. Though the company eventually offered rosewood fingerboards as standard or optional on its entire line of instruments, those first"blond" necks really shook things up. Others have picked up on the maple neck theme, but it's clearly yet another of Leo Fender's "firsts." Today, no other manufacturer can match Fender for the sheer number of options available throughout its entire line. While vintage Fenders can command astronomic prices, the company now has the widest range of quality instruments in the world, along with the highest profile players like Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Jimi Hendrix and Stevie Ray Vaughan, all of whom are legendary.
