A Classy New Stratocaster for the 21st Century! The American Deluxe Stratocaster® QMT HSS is a stunning example of contemporary FENDER® craftsmanship! It features a DH-1™ humbucking pickup, two new Samarium Cobalt Noiseless™ single coil pickups and the versatile S-1 switching system for an endless array of both vintage and modern tones. A beautiful 1/8" thick piece of solid quilted maple is hand bent to the top of an alder body and finished with a gorgeous amber stain. Other features include a deluxe two-point synchronized tremolo with pop-in arm, a modern "C"-shape maple neck with an ebony fingerboard, abalone inlays and 22 medium jumbo frets. Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster QMT HSS at a Glance:
Looks As Good As It Sounds Though the original Stratocaster was first introduced more than a half century ago, it's more popular now than ever, and the American Deluxe Series instruments are the end result of 50 years of evolution. This new guitar takes the Stratocaster right into the 21st Century with a combination of that sleek, supple Strat® design married to a beautiful quilted maple top with a sumptuous amber stain and jewel-like polyurethane finish. To best show off the quilted maple top, Fender decided to drop the traditional Strat pickguard, but they kept other features like the trademark flush-mount output jack, the two-point synchronized tremolo and that immediately recognizable natural maple headstock. The Trademark Strat Sound... and More The original Strat had three single coil pickups, but the American Deluxe substitutes a hot Fender DH-1 humbucker in the bridge position. This allows you to quickly dial in a screaming fat lead sound. And thanks to the two Samarium Cobalt Noiseless single coil pickups, you also get instant access to all the classic, glossy Strat tones with a simple flick of the five-position blade switch. But there's more here than meets the eye! By simply pushing down on the volume control, you can access the bold new sounds available thanks to Fender's exclusive new S-1 switching. This gives you incredible new pickup combinations like the inside coil of the bridge pickup paired in series with the neck pickups and in parallel with the middle pickup. If you want a gorgeous Strat with both vintage and modern guitar timbres, you owe it to yourself to strap on an American Deluxe Strat QMT! S-1 Switching
Fast Playing Natural Maple Neck Leo Fender wasn't afraid to "think outside the box" when it came to guitar designs. In the 1950s and well into the 1970s, the blond natural maple neck became almost synonymous with Fender guitars. While the American Deluxe Strat keeps the fast playing maple neck, it's now topped off with an ebony fingerboard with a 9.5-inch radius. And in keeping with contemporary player preferences, the modern "C" shaped neck is finished in satin polyurethane. Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster QMT Features:
