A Maryland-made beauty from PRS!

The PRS Starla is the first solidbody electric guitar from Paul Reed Smith that features a Bigsby B5 tail piece and a Grover Tune-o-matic bridge. It sports a mahogany body, a 22-fret wide-fat neck, vintage-style tuners, and Starla Treble and Bass pickups that give you a clean, crisp tone that breaks into a range of rich harmonic overtones when you drive it hard. Offered in a variety of colors, its spirit is in line with the extremely popular Mira, but the PRS Starla gives you a vibe all its own.

Similar in spirit to the double cutaway Mira model introduced at Experience PRS 2007, the single cutaway PRS Starla gives you many vintage-themed appointments. In fact, the Starla is the first PRS solidbody electric guitar that features a genuine Bigsby B5 tail piece and a real Grover Tune-O-Matic bridge.

PRS's Starla solidbody electric guitar also introduced another first for PRS - a set of exclusive Starla Treble and Bass pickups. Unlike most PRS humbuckers, these proprietary Alnico magnet-based models were designed to give you a distinctly clean and crisp sound across the majority of their dynamic range. However, when you really push your Starla, you'll be rewarded with rich harmonic overtones that sound great when you use it to drive a tube amp just past the breakup point. A 3-way pickup selector also gives you access to an impressively wide range of tone.

As opposed to PRS's higher-tension 25"-scale models, the solid mahogany Starla body gives you an extremely malleable 24-1/2" scale rosewood fingerboard on it solid mahogany neck. This slightly shorter scale feels great under your fingertips and lets you preform bends with a light touch. It also complements the easy action of the Starla's Bigsby tremolo beautifully.
