An Ideal Compact PA for Intimate Venues

Whether you're a public speaker, singer-songwriter, or in a band; the Yamaha StagePas 400BT is your all-in-one PA solution for pristine sound in smaller venues. The StagePas 400BT offers extensive connectivity. Equipped with Bluetooth wireless audio connectivity, the 400BT can stream audio to your StagePas system from any Bluetooth-paired device such as a smartphone, tablet, or laptop up to 33 feet away. The StagePas 400BT offers 2-band EQ on each channel. Four mic/line inputs feature XLR jacks, with phantom power on channels 1–2 and 1/4" XLR combo inputs on channels 3–4; channel 4 is switchable to hi-Z for instruments with passive pickups. In addition, there are two stereo line input channels switchable for mono operation, plus support for RCA and 1/8" stereo mini inputs. Monitor and subwoofer outputs on the 400BT provide easy expandability. For shows that require a monitor mix or extended low end, simply connect powered speakers such as Yamaha’s DXR Series full-range speakers or DXS Series subwoofers.

Bluetooth connectivity for setup flexibility

At Sweetwater, we've found the StagePas 400BT's Bluetooth connectivity handy for effortlessly incorporating backing tracks, loops, intermission music, or even software instruments into your live performance setup without a cable — while placing the device for maximum access/safety. Audio is routed to channels 7/8 on the StagePas 400BT's mixer. Couldn't be simpler!

Lightweight and portable

The StagePas 400BT consists of two lightweight speakers and a detachable powered mixer, a pair of speaker cables, and a power cable, for a complete portable sound reinforcement solution that you can set up easily in virtually any environment. The mixer also fits into one of the speaker enclosures, making for easy transport and a smaller footprint while in use.

Excellent sound quality without hassles

Advanced Yamaha technologies help the StagePas achieve excellent professional sound quality without hassles. Built-in feedback suppression targets problem frequencies before they become audible. With one-knob control, Yamaha Master EQ optimizes audio to match its environment. Channels 1 through 4 are equipped with independent sends for the four studio-grade reverb types (Hall, Plate, Room, and Echo), which are derived from Yamaha's acclaimed SPX series effects processors. You can also turn Reverb on and off via an optional footswitch — perfect for when an event host is speaking between songs.

Intelligent power management

With the StagePas 400BT delivering 400 watts of power, you are sure to be heard clearly throughout smaller venues. Intelligent DSP and advanced limiting protect the system and ensure the most efficient power usage. What's more, custom designed waveguides help the StagePas achieve broad sound distribution for maximum coverage.

Perfect for my needs!

I am a professional wedding DJ that was looking for a remote solution for ceremonies and cocktail hour without having to bring the "big gear" outside and have it ready for the dancing. I had a different PA system in mind but after discussing my needs with John Castro (my sales rep) he helped to point me in the direction of this Yamaha system and it didn't disappoint! Plenty loud for ceremony music and cocktail hour and the microphone for the officiant sounded fantastic! I even plugged my acoustic guitar in for fun and that sounded great as well! John Castro has been my sales rep for YEARS and has always taken care of my for my personal and professional needs for gear. He is knowledgable and genuine and has always given great advice on what I am looking for. Thank you John and Sweetwater!

This is the Way

I have owned the Yamaha Stagepass 400BT for 3 years now- I was able to purchase the systems complete with the roller bag additional speaker stands, mic stand and bags. TOTALLY WORTH IT!
I am a solo singer/songwriter (or at least attempt to be, ha) and have played with others as well using this system. The 400BT is quick and easy to set up - tear down and makes as a great sounding PA system for multiple environments. I have been able to entertain bars, marina's and house parties with up to 150 people using this setup. And the Bluetooth is an amazing addition. Like any other system you do notice some drop-off in sounds after about 50 feet - but it still sounds greats.
With the range of about 30-50 ft depending on what is in between the system and myself, it gives me the availability to run music during my set breaks.
I am looking into getting into a more pronouned PA system to give a little more creativity - but if you're lookin' for something small, compact, with great sound - THIS IS THE WAY.

AWESOME SOUND AND QUALITY

A very easy unit to hook up and start using right out of the box. Very durable, great sound, and the mixer is awesome with plenty of inputs and control. The bluetooth is incredible and connects very easily. I had the Behringer unit and even thought that one had a little more output and better bass response, this one is more compact and takes up less space in the car. the mixing board snaps into the back of one of the speakers while the other one holds the speaker wires and power cord. I was happy after purchasing this. It's more expensive than the Behringer, but the quality seems better and the mixing board is easier to use. I think the reverb response is pretty decent and compares to the Behringer. I'm really happy about this purchase. The durability is worth the extra money.

Everything we didn't know we needed!

I was going to purchase a 300W system--a JBL that was the upgrade from one we were able to borrow. A 100W single speaker wasn't enough for our church when worshiping outdoors. The 300 was great! But when the JBL system was backordered with Sweetwater, the company turned me toward the 400W Yamaha system. My parishioners are ecstatic about how well they can hear the service now, even with our church sitting right on a busy Main street with lots of noise! The eight channels are more than sufficient for our needs, allowing us to mike 4 performers, a monitor, and my keyboardist's instruments (one or two keyboards), and the sound quality is fantastic! I'm so grateful to Sweetwater for pointing me toward this purchase.

EXCELLENT SOUND QUALITY

I have used this PA for years. I am mainly a solo guitar guy. Sometime duo. Sometimes I have used it with a band for vocals. Your vocals will sound crystal clear and full. Your acoustic guitars will never sound better.
And I do have and have had a few acoustic amps. Nuff said.
I use a 12" monitor and it also gives a boost to the bottom end. In large loud places I use a 12" powered speaker out of one of the monitor outputs. Your sound will be huge and full. I dont use the subwoofer out put as it cuts some bass out of the speakers and probably the monitors. I suppose it would be OK but I just use the monitor outputs and adjust the speaker and monitor volumes accordingly. I also do not carry the mixer in the speaker cabinet. I use a nice case you can find everywhere for the mixer and cables. Also you can find speaker bags that fit the speakers perfectly. The speaker cables are fine but kind of light weight. Find some 25 foot regular size "speaker" cables. Do not use instrument cables. Other than that you will sound super with this PA.
