I own many amps and this little amp delivers clean clear sound when I need it and clean distortion with the push of a button and more. Great price for the quality.

This is very unorthodox but...in my latest review I was referring to the seaming hyped low end of the speaker in this amp. As the curiosity continued to eat me I decided finally to hook it up through... read more [+] my monitor matrix mixer and try to blend it using it's clean channel (and no fx of course) with my EVENT ALP 5's (which are eq'd flat) with the highs and mids turned all the way down on the amp and the bass set at infinity. I was trying to see just how much low end this thing had on a conventional pro mix. As you would expect it didn't produce extreme lows HOWEVER....I did find that I was able to blend this amp with my ALP 5's on most any pro mix and it sound fairly natural. When I attempted the same experiment with some of my personal mixes they sounded very overloaded or humped between 150 and 300 hz. This doesn't refer well to my personal mixes but it does however give me a new reference tool to continue my quest for mixing perfection. I have contacted Line 6 for the eq specs on the bass shelf for this amp so I can know exactly what I am boosting in my blend with this experiment. The representative said those specs aren't readily available however he would find out and get back to me. close [-]

I actually purchased this amp so I could utilize it's headphone jack in another room while my wife was sleeping to practice my guitar scales. I had no intention of utilizing the amp as most would. I... read more [+] own a Toneport UX2 from line 6 and love it. I love this just as much. I believe the tonality of the amp models differ slightly from gearboxes to my ears but I appreciate them just as much. They are slightly brighter through headphones. However through the speaker which I seem to find time to explore almost has that loose "BOSE" boosted 200-250 hz speaker box sound. I often find myself turning the bass down. The effects are nice to have but aren't up to the quality and versatility of those offered in gearbox. This amp produces much more volume than you could ever expect to pull from 15 watts. I really like Line 6 products. They are so versatile and they allow you to get into some entry level products with some extreme features. Major Bang for your buck even if you do use the speaker! close [-]
