Customer Reviewsfrom Fairfield Cty, CT June 27, 2010 Music Background: writer, performer, semi-pro A pleasant surprise at any priceI was looking for a dreadnaught that I could use at outdoor jams and open mic nights....and I did not want to spend a bundle...and of course I did not expect a full and robust sound at the price point I was considering. So, I let aesthetics be the main area of concern...at least it would look good for the money...WELL....WHAT A SURPRISE I HAD WHEN IT ARRIVED AND I OPENED IT AND GAVE IT IT'S FIRST STRUM AND PICK....THIS GUITAR IS NOT TINNY NOR THIN....Now, it does not sound like some aged Gibson (or a new Gibson or Martin of any pedigree...) but it compares nicely with the lower end Blueridges, the Epiphone Masterbuilts and the Formica backed Martins...in fact, it beats the Formica backed Martins.....and with the solid top and real wood (though laminated) back and sides...it will age and become even more complex....THIS IS A DECENT GUITAR THAT CAN BE USED ONSTAGE...MAYBE NOT CARNEGIE HALL...BUT CERTAINLY AT JOE'S BAR AND GRILL...OR THE COFFEE HOUSE...and it records pretty well to.....nicely balanced.......I have been playing since the late 1960's and have owned quite a few of the best....and this guitar is worth keeping...at least for a good while.....
