The Small Stone Goes Nano!

The Electro-Harmonix Nano Small Stone's full-bodied, three-dimensional phasing adds a special swirl to every musical style. Blues boys and babes dig its rapidly rotating speaker effect while country players use it to add seasoning to their chicken' pickin'. Metalheads and industrialists dig the Nano Small Stone's jet plane woosh. No matter what your musical pleasure is, the Electro-Harmonix Nano Small Stone is guaranteed to increase it!

Use the Nano Small Stone's Rate control to adjust the speed of the phasing sweep (clockwise rotation for a faster rate). When you flip the Nano Small Stone's Color switch up, it carves into the frequency spectrum hollowing out the sound. Fundamentals and harmonics glide in and out for an extremely pronounced shifting effect. Return the Color switch to the down position and you'll notice the fullness again. In the non-Color position, with the sweep speed at minimum, the effect is not as strong, and if the slowest sweep is desired the Color switch should be in the up position.

Electro-Harmonix Nano Small Stone Features:
  • Rate control adjusts the speed of the phasing sweep
  • Color switch controls frequency spectrum (hollowing out the sound)
  • Bypass footswitch

Electro-Harmonix
From the legendary riffs of Jimi Hendrix and George Clinton to the new-school licks of Slipknot and Korn, musicians have relied on Electro-Harmonix since the late '60s. Whether you crave the sustaining overdrive of the Big Muff Pi or the warm spring reverb of the hot new Holy Grail, Electro-Harmonix has a stompbox with your name on it.

Great versatile modulation pedal

With the color switch on this pedal you basically have the best of both worlds in a Phase and Fflange pedal. Playing riffs from Come As You Are to Unchained you will get your money's worth out of this pedal!

Classic reissue

I own 2 other small stones: one from the 70's and one from the 80's. I bought this for my nephew and he loves it.
So simple to dial in sweet sweeping filtration.

It ought to be standard issue on any pedal board.

Cuts through the mix!

I have been using a Behringer VP1 that I bought as up as a cheap tryout to see if I really wanted to use a phaser. I have enjoyed it but there is a slight loss in volume. When I was reading reviews for the Small Stone, I noticed a reviewer gave it 1 star due to the volume boost. For me a boost is perfect! I will say that when I initially tried it out playing solo, it did seem just a bit piercing and there is a noticeable volume boost. But at my next band practice, I could see why it was perfect for me. I was cutting through the mix really well and I think that the small stone is a bit more lush than the VP1. So I think in the context of a full band, this phaser is a great choice and it's reasonably priced. Seems very sturdy too. Also, it is much smaller than the VP1; so frees up space on my board. Tip: When playing clean, roll off volume a bit if it sounds too edgy. I find it great with full overdrive.

Yes this is the one!

I own three EHX phase shifters and love them all. I especially love this one paired with a traditional Rhodes piano sound. It doesn't get any better!

Great pedal

This sounds as good as the original Small Stone I had in the 80s. That one got stolen at a gig. This one is going to be glued down.
