Sequal - Easy And Fun

What a great deal for the price. This is a huge bang for the buck. A person can create music right away. I own Cubase 4 which in my opinion has a steep learning curve, don't get me wrong I love my Cubase 4. It's just that Sequal is almost a releif in some ways beacause it's so easy and stright forward.

The effects section, eq section and most evetthing else is very easy to operate and produces great sounds without racking your brains. If a nice looking and easy to operate DAW is what you want, look no further. This is it.

It's nice to know there is a great product out there for beginners and for people like me that already have a top of the line DAW. I like options. I have Sequal set up on a single proccessor machine with 2 GB of ram. I have done 1 complate song now. It has 10 tracks w/ effects and plays back just fine (1 line of 3 on cpu usage) I will add more tracks to see where it limits out on the single core computer. So far, so good. Thanks to Steinberg for another great and very friendly product.

When I first saw the product I thought it's just a small budget "music making" software. I never thought it has the potential of being great music production software (DAW). But once I installed and installation was straight forward but although the licensing took some time as I found Steinberg's E-Licensing server is very busy. I would advice everyone to download the E-Licensing update available in www.sequel-music.net first before going for activation. Also make sure your operating system is updated with all the patches and service packs before installing.

I am a great fan of Cubase and it's great product at a budgeted price from the same company. I am into creating fusion - specially between Indian/Asian and Techno. I was looking for a DAW where I can arrange loops and punch in my synths on the fly with similar Cubase environment. Sequel is answer to my prayer. Huge 5000 loops and huge virtual instrument library is great. Plus you get additional loops as a gift during registration of the product.
Anyone with interest in learning music will find Sequel a great tool with very simple learning curve. The operation manual is simple and easy to understand and the installation DVD contains several projects which you can build up step by step giving you full idea about usage and making a great production with this tool.
Even though the hardware requirement given on the box looks simple but for production of more than 6 tracks with effects and virtual instruments you will need atleast a dual core processor based system with 2 gigs of RAM and SATA hard drive.
Effects are great and the mastering tool makes your project a truely professional one.
Go and get one for yourself or give this as a gift to budding musicians.
