Overall I'm quite happy with the sample pad. I like the internal sounds. Though a bit cheesy, they enable you to play with the sound of a drum machine, which can be a nice effect, specially when playi... read more [+]ng live. The only problem I encountered with it was loading my own samples (which was the reason I got it) the sample pad does not accept Wav files made in pro tools. After a couple of frustrating hours, I figured out you need a file conversion program such as Stretch (for Mac, free download). I converted my (pro tools ) Wavs into Wavs again and it worked fine. Looking online I see a number of people have had this problem. close [-]

This pad is fine if you just want to add some sounds to a kit or hammer some single notes. The trouble starts when you try to generate two sounds at the same time. Alesis support calls the phenomenon ... read more [+]"crosstalk rejection." What it means is that this device cancels one of the two simultaneously hit sounds about 90% of the time (in my humble experience). Not what I would call acceptable performance for a product that has four pads and a trigger. close [-]
