Customer Reviewsfrom Watertown, SD, USA December 30, 2011Music Background: Recording & live sound engineer, and musician Disappointing designThere are some things I like about the Stage 55, except for the one major design flaw which I feel ruins the whole product; therefore I had to give it a much lower rating: I liked the front-panel audio and RF level displays and rear XLR input on the receiver, and the battery level LEDs on the transmitter belt-pack. But I was VERY disappointed to discover that the power on/off switch was located UNDER the battery compartment cover! This means that the user must fumble with opening the battery cover, switching on/off, and then closing the cover before attaching it to his belt. So now, after less than four months of use (aprox. three times per week), one of the tiny pins on the battery cover hinge has come off and become lost, rendering the battery cover useless.I also don't like the fact that the audio on/off switch is located on the top of the belt-pack (where I would expect the power switch to be located). These two switches (power and audio) ought to be switched around, in my opinion! Sound quality seemed good. The tiny lavalier mic is very un-obtrusive; hardly noticeable from a distance.
