Excellent Bass

I have been playing for over 30 years and this is my first 5-String. the part that surpirsed me is that this is as easy to play as my Fender Jazz Bass. Even with the extra string the neck is thin and the action is great. The tone is terrific with the active pickups and the sustain is awesome.

The only one thing that threw me off a little was the length of the fretboard. This is a 24-fret neck and as a result I find myself reaching for the lower frets a little. The extra frets are completely unnecessary and mostly take-away from the playability of the instrument. If you can find one of these with a shorter neck, I advise you to buy it.

I am already getting use to it!

Becasue I am a lefty, I add to order the universal case separately. That case weight is excessive! The bass is not particularly heavy, but put it in the case and it is quite a load.

Bottom-Line: I am really glad I bought it. I love the extra low notes and I love having a close-note E on the B string.

I LOVE it!

This bass replaced my Ibanez soundgear as my main bass. It has a rich sound for the style of music I play. I want to get a 4 string just like it.

Great bass for the money!

I got this bass as an upgrade from a Peavy five string, which wasn't living up to my needs. I am an older bassist with some joint issues, so I needed something that fingered more lightly. After I did a setup, and adjusted the string height, It plays like a dream! I would have given it a five star rating if it hadn't been for the battery box. It's a plate, with two screws, over two nine volt clip style connectors. There is a piece of foam that wraps around the batterys to keep them from rattling. I might have my guitar tech add a good snap in box later. All in all, you would be hard pressed to find a better sounding and playing bass for the money.
