The SSE 15 has a horn design with a coverage pattern of 90-degrees horizontal and 40-degrees vertical and incorporates flying points on the top and bottom for the utilization of Peavey VersaMount 70 mounting brackets. Two-way sound reinforcement enclosure for permanent installations The SSE 15 is specifically engineered for professional, permanent sound reinforcement installations where cabinets must be "flown" in order to cover as much area as possible. The SSE 15 is designed for arraying on stage, in churches, auditoriums or theme parks. The horn has a coverage pattern of 90degrees along the horizontal axis and 40degrees along the vertical axis. Full range response from 15" woofer and 14XT titanium tweeter The Peavey SSE 15's low end is produced using the Peavey Scorpion Pro 1500+ 15" woofer with a 2.5" voice coil. The highs are generated using the highly acclaimed Peavey 14XT titanium compression driver. Sound Guard IV tweeter protection network is built in. Response is given as 74Hz to 17kHz. Granted I have an older set of thes units so Peavey may have corrected the issue but I have the 14XT horns just like these and I have blown both the fuses and the voicecoils of these horns. The LF dri... read more [+]vers seem to be able to handle the 500 Watts I send them but the horns can't keep up and I blow them. I have gone to JBL JRX125s on the same amp and they seem quite happy and give me the HF that I like to hear. In both situations 150Hz (xover point) and below go to Yamaha S118s. I think as long as you don't push them too hard they will be OK. close [-]
