With all the features of the 1962 Gibson Dove, coupled with lowered, more playable action, and onboard electronics, the Gibson Dove Modern classic is a beautiful guitar. Part of the Gibson Acoustic Historic Collection, the Dove is one of the most recognized acoustic guitars in the world. Its tortoise-inlaid dove pickguard, the traditional Gibson rosewood dove bridge, and the mother of pearl fingerboard inlays set off the Sitka spruce top and curly maple body. The Gibson Dove Modern Classic features a premium Sitka spruce top, and AAA flame maple back and sides with checkerboard marquetry. A curly maple neck, rounded for better playability, carries a rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl double parallelogram inlays. Staying true to history, the Gibson Dove Modern Classic features the traditional Gibson Dove bridge with beautiful mother-of-pearl doves laid into the rosewood.
