The Songwriter Deluxe Cutaway Modern Classic's solid Sitka spruce top is set off by a solid rosewood body with checker marquetry. The top is rimmed with 6-ply binding, with a single-ply binding on the back. The mahogany neck offers a comfortable round profile, topped by an ebony fingerboard.
