With the Songwriter Deluxe Cutaway Modern Classic, Gibson took their already-popular small square-shoulder dreadnought body style and added a cutaway, making a very attractive, very playable guitar. The Songwriter Deluxe Cutaway Modern Classic is a great performance instrument with outstanding acoustic tone plus Fishman active electronics - it sounds great onstage and unplugged! The Songwriter Deluxe Cutaway Modern Classic's solid Sitka spruce top is set off by a solid rosewood body with checker marquetry. The top is rimmed with 6-ply binding, with a single-ply binding on the back. The mahogany neck offers a comfortable round profile, topped by a rosewood fingerboard.
