The Ibanez SR5006EOL electric bass guitar brings an amazing new 6-string to the SR Prestige Series! In addition to its well-balanced mahogany body (sandwiched between a wenge top and back), the SR5006EOL includes a 5-piece wenge/bubinga SR6 neck that's very easy to navigate - even with 6-strings on the wenge fingerboard. Abalone and pearl appointments add a touch of elegance. This bass's pair of Bartolini Custom pickups provide stellar tone for all kinds of styles, and you can get the most out of them with the Power Curve 3-band EQ (with a bypass switch) included on the SR5006EOL.

When I purchased my Ibanez SR5006E Prestige, I hadn't played it, so I purchased it solely off of its’ looks.

I already owned a couple of Ibanez six string basses and I knew that Iban... read more [+]ez produced a quality instrument, but man, when I got that thing home and did a super tight setup on it, the action is beyond belief. It has a very super light playing touch, with no fret buzz.

The resonance from composite Mahogany body and Wenge top and back, along with the fast action just makes me want to play it all night.

The EQ. is the bomb, if you get a chance check out the frequency response curves.

And yes I was correct; it just looks so good when I’m playing it.

If you don’t know or heard about this axe you better ask somebody. I got mine, so you better get yours, cause my don’t bass play for nobody but me, you dig.
