Mark SteinI just picked up the SR5000EOL because I wanted a 4-string with a thin, fast neck that sounded and looked great. The playability and build quality are second to none and the combinations of woods make this a beautiful instrument. This bass sounds great unplugged. It's voice is very clear and articulate with harmonics that jump off the fretboard. When I plugged it in I was impressed with how even the notes are up and down the neck. The Bartolini pickups are perfectly matched with this bass and the pre amp is offers a wide variety of tones. I love the feel of the oiled wood and rounded edges. The mahogany sandwiched in between the wenge and 5-piece neck contribute to the look and sound. This bass begs to be played and sounds as great as it looks!
