Hands Down The Greatest Live Vocal Mic Ever Designed

This is by far the greatest live mic ever designed. I work daily with nearly every instrument, from acoustic/electric guitar, trumpet, flute, sax, violin, percussion and voice. It doesn't matter what you put this mic in front of...it's just breathtaking. I have used Earthworks SR40s since their release a year and a half ago and I can tell you that the V model has everything the standard 40 has but with a touch more presence and 'live' sparkle to it. The feel and the weight are very nice and no worries about popping. It's also fantastically feedback resistant. The proximity effect is beautiful without being overly boomy. Like all Earthworks this thing has a crazy amount of gain. Every drop of sweat is communicated to the audience with extreme clarity. It allows the performer to express his/her artistry in ways no other mic does. I've used practically every live mic on the market and this is the pinnacle of engineering...there is no finer. Don't even think twice about adding one to your rig....worth every penny. Bravo to the engineering team in NH....can't wait for the wireless version!
