It’s hard to truly do justice to the Earthworks SR30 microphone. The SR30 is a true performer, delivering a precise, natural sound you simply won’t find on a lot of cardioid microphones. Unlike a lot of directional mics, the SR30 won’t give you a hollow, "boomy" sound when used close to the source. The sound is smooth in whatever application. A favorite microphone for many recording artists, the SR30 hits high marks for clarity and realism in a directional mic.

The only bad thing about these is that they require a perfect amount of phantom power exactly 48 volts at 10ma. most condenser mics use about 9-17volts and the rest is sent to ground, so a lot of com... read more [+]panys don't put a full 48 volts in there pre amps, interfaces. so you might need a phantom power box, but well worth the sound and quailty. makes great sounding drums everytime. close [-]
