Customer Reviewsfrom Charlottetown, PE, Canada July 6, 2011Music Background: Amateur musician Definite steal for the price!I bought this bass here on Sweetwater to replace the bass I originally learned to play on, and I couldn't be happier.I had tried cheaper Ibanez basses at my local music store, but decided that the look and quality of the SR1200 was well worth the price. The first thing I noticed was how light this bass actually is. Compared to a Fender for example, you'll barely notice you've got it hanging around your neck while playing. Secondly, the neck is very thin and fast. As a converted guitar player this made the transition much easier. The gold hardware gives this bass a very sharp appearance. I kept getting asked about it by the members of the other bands at a recent gig. The built in Eq. allows for a lot of versitility and tone shaping for whatever your musical style is and the Nordstrand Big Singles sound incredible on both the low and high end, and everything in between. Just look up some reviews on them online and you'll see very positive opinions on them. Overall I'd recommend this bass (or any of the Ibanez Premium Series basses) to anybody looking for something different than a stock Fender Jazz or Precision, and you will definitely get the most bang for your buck with this purchase.
