Roland's SPD-SX sampling percussion pad is Roland's most advanced sampling percussion pad to date. With tons of sounds, three multi-FX, and 2GB of memory for up to three hours of onboard sampling, the SPD-SX is perfect for both stage and studio. Featuring nine velocity-sensitive pads and two dual-trigger inputs for external triggering of onboard sounds, the SPD-SX is also a great way to expand an existing percussion setup. Roland's SPD-SX features an expansive array of dynamic sounds that respond amazingly to the nine velocity-sensitive pads. Snare rolls sound natural, cymbals respond to every nuance of your playing, and percussion sounds have a lifelike feel to them you won't get anywhere else besides the SPD-SX.

Powerfully intuitive sampling:
You can create your own samples and loops from playing on the Roland SPD-SX, or from an external audio source routed to the SPD-SX's 1/4" inputs. Just press a button to enter sampling mode, touch the pad you want to start recording, and touch it again to end recording and create a perfect loop.
