I had a PC88 for eleven years and loved it... The only thing I didn't like was that I never really used any of the features since I only needed a stage piano. Well, about a month ago, I got the SP88... read more [+]x and I couldn't be happier. It's got everything a piano-man needs... Beautiful pianos, mod strips, and adjustable effects.

The keys are weighted, but still on the light side. After playing for a few hours you'll actually be grateful that the feel isn't too heavy... especially when you like to do crazy piano solos (a la Nina Simone's "Sinnerman")

The only thing that is any trouble is learning to program the mod strips but that is usually a one time thing. Also, transposing takes a few more steps, but things like maneuvering and editing settings is something that takes time to learn and become accustomed to like any other new keyboard.

Like I said, I'm more than pleased with this purchase. I've always been a Kurzweil guy and always will be... Nothing like the sound and longevity of a Kurzweil. close [-]
