DiMarzio Tone Zone humbucker for take-no-prisoners tone - plus a kill switch
The Fender Standard Stratocaster HSS comes stock with with two single-coil pickups in the neck and middle positions, and a humbucker at the bridge. Your Sweet-Mod begins with a DiMarzio Tone Zone humbucker - a brilliantly high-output pickup - substituted for the stock humbucking picking. This pup serves up with stunning dynamic range. Pick softer and the notes are cleaner and quieter; lean into you notes, and you'll get a ton of fat power. Chords are huge, even single notes have depth, and the DiMarzio Tone Zone's patented dual-resonance coils deliver killer overtones - more than expected from a pickup this fat-sounding. Awesome, but we went even further, giving you a kill switch in place of the second tone control (with the first tone knob now serving as a master tone control), putting a range of cool hi-gain stutter effects right at your fingertips.
