Customer Reviewsfrom Hillsborough, N.J. February 15, 2013Music Background: Gigging Musician Great Pedal!I use it on a Marshall Bluesbreaker. That amp has a clean sound basically. Once you turn the pedal on however, it a totally different animal! I use the pedal on the crunch setting only, (it also has an overdrive setting) it thickens up the tone as much as I want, and the boost feature is great on Solos. I'm very happy with the pedal.from Hillsborough, N.J. January 25, 2013Music Background: Gigging Musician Great pedalI run this pedal with my Marshall Bluesbreaker Amp, it puts out a very clean signal. After the pedal, the Amp is a COMPLETELY different animal! I LOVE this pedal, you can have drive it, and the Chords are not mushy at all. Very good Sustain, and the boost feature is great when it's time to Solo. It's a little pricey, but to me it's worth it. It gets that Warren Haines, Gary Moore type of sound. I keep it on Crunch all the time, I don't use the Overdrive part of it.from Utah November 12, 2012Music Background: Hobbyist Magic in a boxI know...I know...another dirt box. But if you've ever owned a Wampler pedal, chances are you own more than one! What I can tell you is this pedal is pure metal magic in a box. It just makes you smile everytime you plug into it. The mid range and sustain within this pedal is un-believable. I've never heard anything like it. I have several amp sims etc... and none of them even come close to producing this sound. It joines many other Wampler pedals in my collection that I wont ever be selling. Very pleased with it. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for overdrive to high gain distortion. It also has a clean boost that can be used independently and works flawlessly to add gain. This along with the 3 band EQ makes it very versatile.from Milwaukee, WI April 2, 2013Music Background: Guitarist/Songwriter High QualityIt's been a long search for my perfect overdrive pedal, and I think I've found it. Having played multiple versions of The Rat, DS-1, Fulldrive, OCD, Redwitch Fumulous, Fuzz God, Pale Horse, Tube Screamer, and a whole mess of other pedals, I've finally settled on this one. It's got globs of gain, but it's still transparent. It's a very modern sounding gain, but doesn't sound too "metal" but not too "soft rock", it's right there in between. The bass knob controls what can be described as "speaker kick", which is AWESOME, and the mids are for control of the overall body. I back the highs off a little bit, as I like a darker sound. when I first plugged it in, I felt like I was witnessing something truly amazing, as it sounds like speaker breakup; it sounds like a cranked stack! It's crazy. Paired with my Gibson SG, I can finally make the sounds I have had in my head since I was a kid. Best $250 I've ever spent on a pedal.
