Jackson Soloist SLATTXMGQ3-7 Solidbody 7-string Electric Guitar at a Glance:
  • This 7-string speaks with authority
  • Compound-radius fingerboard gives you the best of both worlds
  • Neck-through design and EMG active pickups for incredible tone and sustain
  • Your weapon of choice for menacing tone and wicked good looks

This 7-string speaks with authority
7-string guitars are a breed apart. The Jackson Soloist SLATTXMGQ3-7 sports a 26.5" scale that keeps your low string sounding nice and tight; this also imparts a unique sound to the rest of the instrument. Jackson's 7-string design and construction techniques all contribute to this Soloist's unique, authoritative, and eminently musical voice.

Compound-radius fingerboard gives you the best of both worlds
The Jackson Soloist SLATTXMGQ3-7 solidbody 7-string electric guitar sports a compound-radius rosewood fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets. Down low, your fretting hand will appreciate the 12" radius thet keeps things nice and confortable for natural, relaxed chord work. Up top, a 16" radius lays it all out flat for effortless, low-action high-speed runs and monumental string bends without fretting out. You get the best of both worlds with the Soloist SLATTXMGQ3-7.

Neck-through design and EMG active pickups for incredible tone and sustain
The Jackson Soloist SLATTXMGQ3-7 owes its great tone and sustain in part to something you won't even notice at first glance: a neck-through-body design. The three-piece through-body maple neck, paired with a rosewood fingerboard (adorned with piranha inlays, no less) doesn't just join the body; it's actually part of the body! This configuration contributes to sustain in a big way, since the entire guitar is structurally integrated. You also get two great-sounding, high-output EMG active humbuckers.

Your weapon of choice for menacing tone and wicked good looks
From Def Leppard's Phil Collen and Rick Savage to James Root of Slipknot and Stone Sour and Derrick Green of Sepultura (just to name a few), some of the most formidable axe-slingers in rock have used Jackson guitars to generate their fretboard fireworks - for good reason! Jackson guitars are designed from the ground up for monster tone, amazing playability, and rock-solid reliability every time they take the stage or hit the studio. Of course, it doesn't hurt to look good, either; if you're looking for a visually stunning instrument to impress your audience and show that you mean business, you want a Jackson!

Only spent 10 bucks on my first purchase, but you treated me as if was spending a grand. Being an independent business owner, I know all to well the importance of dedicated customer service which is the best way to win over the corporate chains. Tootsie Rolls always win me over too. I'm sure some much bigger purchases are in our future.

I 1st want to thank Nate Edwards who always takes the time torealy get you want you want. If you need great service and excellent knowledge of the product and excellent customer sevice ask for Nate...... read more [+]..You will not be disappointed...
This is my 1st 7 string and I'm glad I took the leap. Out of the box the guitar was set up just how I like (Thanks Nate). Low action, no string buzz, anywhere and only slightly out of tune which only took a minor adjustment using the FLoyd Rose Special fine tuners(Real floyd users will have no worries). The look, feel, weight, and even the 26.5 scale was just right. Frets were finished great, pickup height , great. I have small hands so I was a little nervous going to a 7 string but after about half an hour, my concerns were put to rest. The Jackson neck is, well wonderful. I am a Carvin fanboy and love their guitars( have 3 and was looking to get their 7 string) would never give them up but this Jackson is a keeper. EMG's sound good, lots of sustain and can get a little muddy if you do not EQ properly.
Plugged into my Marshall JVM 205H with a Marshall 1960A ( Thanks Nate) cab on the clean green channels using the bridge pickup: clear, articulate, soothing, liked it. No this guitar is not made for clean but still very usable tones. Now, the Overdrive Channel, went straight to the amber at about 1/2 volume with the eq all at 12, all I can say is if your looking for in your face, kick in your chest, low end with crystalline top end, buy this guitar....Red Channel, little noisy butafter a couple of tweaks an hour went by and my wife asked why I had that grin on my face (enough said) It looks great (not visable flaws) feels great (not to heavy but also does not feel like a toy in anyway as some others sites may have stated). Made in Indonesia and I must say, One hell of an import, well worth the money. Again, Thanks Nate and if your looking to get into the 7 string world or already are, check out htis Axe, you will not be disappointed close [-]
