The "King of the Flat Tops" Features Top-quality Tonewoods
Gibson's J-200 Standard is a part of Gibson's storied line of Super Jumbo acoustic guitars. Onboard, you'll find a AAA-grade Sitka spruce top for a strong voice, with AAA-grade curly maple back and sides for balanced tone.

Rosewood Fingerboard with Rolled Edges and Graduated Crown Inlays
The Gibson J-200 Standard's fingerboard comprises high-grade rosewood, which is personally inspected and qualified by Gibson's team of skilled experts before it enters the Gibson factories. This durable wood's resilience makes the fingerboard extremely balanced and stable, and gives each chord and note exceptional clarity and bite. What's more, the J-200 Standard's graduated crown inlays are made of genuine mother of pearl, and are inserted into the fingerboard using a special process that eliminates gaps and doesn't require fillers. The fingerboard also sports a rolled edge-instead of the usual right angle, and is slightly beveled for an extremely smooth and comfortable feel, enhancing the J-200 Standard's playability.

Fishman Aura Ellipse Pickup SystemEquipped with the revolutionary Fishman Aura Ellipse system, the J-200 Standard allows acoustic musicians to easily and precisely reproduce the sound of an acoustic guitar as if it miked in a professional studio. The Fishman Aura Ellipse system was programmed to conjure studio sounds with Class A microphone premplifiers and a mix of vintage and modern microphones to create Aura Acoustic images that complement the specific tone qualities of the J-200 Standard.
