The first thing you notice about the SG Carved Top–Autumn Burst is its highly figured AAA maple top — complete with a gloss Autumn Burst nitrocellulose finish to bring out the full depth of its stunning grain. According to Gibson, this is the finest wood ever applied to the SG in its storied history, and it makes this Limited Run Series guitar a must for any Gibson aficionado. But the maple top goes beyond its simple aesthetic beauty. It also provides this SG the sonic quality and sustain of Gibson’s legendary Les Paul Standard. The guitar’s tone is further enhanced by a pair of Burstbucker Pro humbucking pickups, which employ Alnico V magnets for a little extra sting and punch, and feature wax-potted coils to combat potential squeal and microphony. Each pickup also features two coils with unmatched windings to retain a little extra sonic edge in their “enhanced vintage” performance.

Premium appointments fit for a limited model
The SG Carved Top–Autumn Burst also includes the SG’s standard 24-3/4" scale length mahogany neck with two extra frets, a rosewood fingerboard with figured acrylic trapezoid inlays, Grover kidney-shaped tuners, and Gibson’s traditional Tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece. The SG Carved Top–Autumn Burst is limited to just 350 guitars, and each one comes with a special Limited Run Series certificate of authenticity and a black hardshell case with white interior and silkscreened Gibson USA logo.
