As soon as I learned about this guitar I called Sweetwater and had Jared Johnson put this on order, (Thank you Jared!). I have had this guitar for a few weeks now and have been able to put it through ... read more [+]its paces and see what it's got. It has a lot to offer. It plays great, sounds great and looks awesome! The neck is has a little more bulk than my 1989 SG Custom Deluxe. I had my Sweet Water rep (David Hess) snag this lovely out of the warehouse to look it over and give me his assesment before finalizing my order. He said the neck is similar to a Les Paul Axcess. I have never played a Les PAul Axcess, but if you have this point is relevant to you. I like the feel, it is not too bulky for me even though I am used to the very slim neck of my old SG.May 9, 2012 Music Background: Guitarist, recording engineer, project studio owner The Guitar is a little heavier in the body with the sculpted feature. I think this actually works in favor of the tone and balance of the guitar, in addition to giving it the needed depth for the Floyd Rose Tremolo. The Floyd Rose Tremolo works very well. It has been a while since I use a Floyd, I have a Fender Strat with one of their premium tremolos, this is a completely different feel. There is more tension on the bar when using it. The fine tuners are great and easy to use, with a pretty good range of tuning capability. There are some minor tuning challenges as I get accustomed to the Floyd Rose and locking mechanism on the nut. I gave it a 4.5 because I would like to have seen some color options, a cool sunburst or something, and the name Diablo is a little extreme. This guitar has a range of tones, from massive rhythmic crunch to expressive blues and snappy funk chops. A name is just a name and this guitar is awesome. close [-]
