From Our Research Team:

Premium tone from Seymour Duncan!

Seymour Duncan's SFX-11 Twin Tube Blue performs double-duty as a high-quality guitar preamp and stellar tube-driven overdrive voiced for blues-influenced music. The Twin Tube Blue uses a duet of premium, mil-spec, subminiature, USA-made Phillips-Sylvania 6111 dual triode tubes, and generates a tone that's great for modern blues, Chicago blues, Texas blues, and classic rock. The key to the SFX-11's great sound is its ability to run high-plate voltage, allowing the tubes to really cook, creating searing blues tones. Take your tone to new sonic heights with the SFX-11 Twin Tube Blue.

So how does it sound? One word: Smokin'! The perfect choice for any kind of blues, the SFX-11 Twin Tube Blue is perfect for shredding. Plug in your guitar (with Duncan pickups, of course!) and tap into the perfect blues tone. Like the Twin Tube Classic and Twin Tube Mayhem, the Twin Tube Blue is a high-quality, two-channel, guitar preamp. But, unlike its Twin Tube brethren, it features a duet of premium, mil-spec, subminiature, USA-made Phillips-Sylvania 6111 dual triode tubes. These tubes are voiced similar to a familiar 12AU7.

Nothin but love

I am one of those guirtarists who is very fussy about "tone" and once I have my settings dialed in on my amp "Don't touch". That being said I always enjoy great gear to enhance my overall sonic bliss ... read more [+]as it were. I have tried many a OD/Dist. pedal and though there are many out there loved by everyone, I have found one I love !

The first and foremost attribute I love about this pedal (and there are a few) is the tranparency, I am used to buying a new dirt pedal plugging it up and then fiddling and fiddling until I get happy and then fiddling somemore because I just can't quite get happy, doh ! Not with this pedal it is so transparent I thought something was wrong ! As I lightly fiddled, it wasn't long before wow, what a find. I just added two channels of tube delight and to top it off it played so with the other kids in the sandbox you wouldn't know it was a step child.

You have to love the tubes ! who doesn't love tubes, I have owned other tube pedals (not taking anything away from them) but this is high voltage all tube saturation, plain and simple and thats the beauty of it, plain and simple!

I play through a fender blues jr, I wanted a pedal that kept the blues jr tone but added two channels of clean, tube, transparent tone. May I introduce you to the Twin Tube Blue. I play a Fender American Strat with a Lindy Fralin P-92 in the bridge and Texas Special Single coils, as I can't speak for other guitars mine has adopted this pedal in such a way as to quote Barry White "...... you'll never find a pedal ...a pedal quite like mine.... "

For great transparent, tube tone the twin tube blue can't be beat, I love mine and you will too. close [-]

Totally satisfied, great classic tube sound!

I was looking for a real tube distortion sound that was warm and soulful on one end, with great sustain and aggressive sound on the other without being overly harsh. This pedal delivers in spades. Equ... read more [+]ally nice with Stats, Teles, and Les Paul type guitars. I love that it gives me basically 3 channels to whatever amp I stick in front of it - Straight - Mild Distortion - Heavy Distortion. It is especially nice in front of tube amps, like my small Vox or Boogie, where I can get 3 levels of classic tube distortion from the amps without having to change any settings on them [great for live playing], and the extra tube path is just synergistic to the nice straight or distorted sound I get from these. It's also great in front of my Fishman acoustic amp for my church gig, so I don't have to lug 2 amps on Sunday - I set up one of the amp channels for my electrics with the Blue Tube and it gives me 3 distinct sounds that can accurately cover all the many types of CC music we play. Great distortion sounds are hard to find that please everyone, but I can't imagine this pedal would not offer many useable sounds to anyone who tried it - it just doesn't quite do that "scooped mids" metal sound on it's own, but you can adjust your amps tone controls to acheive this if you need it. I love the huge array of classic tube/rock sounds, very usable tone controls, and the versatility it offers. It looks killer too, if that matters to you. close [-]

Absolutely love it!

I have been playing for 40 years and I can honestly say I've never really loved any stomp box. I am the stereotypical guitar player looking for the perfect tone. This box isn't going to be all things ... read more [+]to all people but for blues and classic rock tones it is unbelievable sweet. I've never heard my strat sound as good as it does plugged into this box. I think I will buy another one of these just to have a spare.

I never write reviews but for this experience I had to put some feedback out there. close [-]

Our Customers Say...

My Sales Engineer is the best. If I need it tomorrow, I have it tomorrow. He makes sure everything is in order and that I'm set up right. I've spent a lot of money at other places, too, but I don't remember them calling me to make sure everything's okay.
