From Our Research Team:

An Instrument Fit for a Guitar Great

The SE Orianthi has much more than just a cool-sounding name. Orianthi is the name of the breakout female guitarist who's been receiving praise from today's top guitarists for her all-around level of mastery. Michael Jackson chose none other than Orianthi to play on his "This Is It" tour. And Carlos Santana has remarked, "If I was going to pass the baton to somebody, she would be my first choice." Steve Vai and ZZ Top have also sung her praises. So it makes sense that Orianthi, a devoted PRS player since 1997 (ever since she saw Santana play in concert on his PRS), has worked together with PRS to create her signature model. A true player's guitar through and through, the SE Orianthi is an instrument you'll be proud to get in your hands.

Let's take a look at that top: Red Sparkle, for catching eyes onstage. Then, your eyes will likely be drawn to those famous bird inlays — and this is one of the very first SE models to feature those must-have PRS birds. The guitar itself is based off of the PRS Custom 24 model, with a Maple top, a 24-fret wide-thin maple neck, and an ebony fingerboard. Yet, the SE Orianthi adds a korina back, that Red Sparkle finish we told you about, and then the signature "O" at the 12th fret. And to make the SE Orianthi equally as striking in tone as it is in looks, there are two humbucking pickups: an SE HFS Humbucker and an SE Vintage Bass Humbucker.

Up your onstage looks and sound with a guitar fit for a fantastic player. Get your hands on the PRS SE Orianthi!

My first REAL Guitar

I absolutely love this guitar. It's FAR superior to the Squire Strat my dad bought me when I was 14. It feels better in my hands, and in general just fits me better. I'm not a big fan of the tremolo (... read more [+]would like to lock it somehow) but that's the only complaint I have. close [-]

Orianthi PRS SE is simply Fabulous!!!

Just received the PRS Orianthi SE Guitar and I'm really blown away! It’s simply gorgeous in tone, build quality, finish, components etc. I've never owned a PRS and this one is my first and it is fun t... read more [+]o play. The guitar plays very loose meaning you can fly up the neck like a gymnast. PRS also supplied a very nice gig bag that comes with the guitar. It’s got a really sweet tone on the bridge setting which is like maple syrup on pancakes. The middle setting tastes like a top notch cheeseburger. And, the neck setting is thanksgiving turkey and all the fixings! I use these descriptions to depict just how bad*** tone wise this guitar puts out sound! Both volume and tone controls are very smooth with no discernible jump in function and sound, clearly they put quality components in it! Tuners are very high ratio and smooth along with a great nut at the neck. The bridge is their own design and it’s perfectly setup from PRS with Sweetwater going through it the guitar and verifying its playability before it leaves their facility with a 55 point inspection. It comes delivered with PRS 9-42 gauge strings! The finish is a sparkly red finish, which at first wasn’t really sure if it would be to girly for my tastes, but I was wrong the finish is fabulous and fits the guitar’s mojo!

Bottom line the PRS Orianthi SE is a stellar axe for anybody wanting a supreme guitar for any genre! I play a Gibson Les Paul, and an EVH Wolfgang Special, and both guitars are fab! But, the Orianthi is in my opinion a wee bit sweeter for me! I don't know why I waited so long to pull the trigger on buying one, but many thanks to my main rep Chris Louis for being patient with me. I eventually bought it! Merry Xmas and Happy New Year 2012! close [-]

Our Customers Say...

I can talk to my Sales Engineer about any piece of equipment, and he always steers me in the right direction. He truly knows what he's talking about, and he never tries to over-sell me on anything. If he worked in the Nashville area, I'd probably owe him about 20 dinners by now!
