My favorite snare!

We needed a second snare at church as a back up in case of head breakage (it's happened on a Sunday morning, and I just happened to have one of my snares with me). After checking out several options, I found a used one of these that brought it into our budget. It quickly became the standard snare. It's been tuned up and down, and it sounds fantastic through the range. Definitely has the pop from the brass that helps it cut through, but without being earsplitting.
For the first time since we've had it, the Nouveau technology had a con- the quick change snare release worked it's way loose. Can't blame it, though- it held for probably a year and a half, and then was a quick fix once the song was done.
Overall a versatile instrument that's a pleasure to play!
