I use the Shure E2C's (now known as SCL2) for practicing drums along to a click track and recordings. January 13, 2010 Music Background: Pro musician These in-ear monitors have spared my ears a lot of abuse for two reasons. One, because the earplug function not only blocks some of the sound of the drums, and two, because I don't have to turn up the ipod so loud. The battery lasts longer on the ipod, and I don't need a headphone amp to power over the volume of the drums. The only reason I gave 4.5 instead of 5 is that I would like a little more bass response. They sound more accurate than any other headphones I've used, but sometimes a little more fatness is desired. I would also appreciate even a little more noise isolation, but I don't know if that's possible from an in-ear monitor that isn't custom fitted. close [-] Excellent entry level ear buds!!

I bought a new set of Shure SCL2 ear buds for my Shure wireless monitor system and they are well worth the price. Going from floor monitors to an in ear system is huge! I will probably step up to a set of SCL5's soon for the low end they provide and the SCL2's lack. Otherwise a great product from Shure!! close [-]
