I just got my Blonde today and I am impressed. I was looking for a few different things for my Rhodes Mk1 stage piano: a preamp to boost the signal, EQ, and some good fender tone for cheap. This ped... read more [+]al solved all my problems. The output is hot, the active EQ really brings out my rhodes and since the character knob is continuous its easy to find a sweet spot between two recognizable sounds - instead of only being able to switch from one to the other as with most modeling pedals. With the blonde it is really easy to get that warm twin reverb clean with just a little bite when I play hard. Great pedal! close [-]

Ron DanielOf the Tech 21 SansAmp Character Series, I'd only heard the VT Bass before today. That one is so amazing that I thought plugging into the Blonde could only be a disappointment. But I was very, very wrong. What is it like? Imagine the classic sounds of every Fender amp in a little box that's just a hundred and fifty bucks! No, I am not exaggerating - you really do need to hear this to believe it. And because its universal output allows either low-Z or hi-Z connections, it works great whether you're plugging directly into a mixer or a clean guitar amp. So far, the Character Series is two for two... I can't wait to plug in to the others!
