Sixteen years ago, everyone knew that a fat mahogany body delivered great tone, but also extra weight and discomfort. Then the Ibanez S changed everything. Which is why the S470 comes with the Wizard II Prestige neck, a three-piece maple neck that will probably never need adjustment, no matter how hard you play. Another interesting touch is a return to the elegance of a bound rosewood fingerboard. The thin, fast and flat Wizard II necks also deliver on the promise of effortless fret work, thanks to the extreme cutaways and the 22 jumbo frets.

IBZ INF Pickups Deliver Maximum Tonal Variation
Yesterday's guitars were often able to produce only a few tonal variations. Hey, what good is a sleek, sexy guitar if it doesn't have the sound to match. Thanks to the three specially-designed IBZ humbuckers in the neck and bridge position plus an IBZ single coil in the middle position, you get a super wide tonal spectrum at all volume levels from a whisper to an all out, ear damaging roar!
