If you want to listen to the radio through your mic cables, buy these!!

I was out on the road without enough XLR cables, and with tons of perfectly silent, rugged and reliable cables at home, I couldn't justify anything more than the cheapest they had at Guitar Center. Bad move. Surprisingly, these cables we're, in fact, the cheapest. They also worked great for a few days. When I got them back home, however, the buzz, hum and even radio broadcasts these cables picked up made them unusable. Not wanting to bother returning them, I cut away the rubber sheath around one of the connectors to investigate the problem. The first thing I found is the actual connectors are nothing more than the run of the mill connectors that are readily available all over ebay. The second thing I found was that the cable was in fact wired INCORRECTLY. Knowing this, I cut the cable as close to the connector as possible and spliced it back together with the correct wiring. Naturally, it was dead silent.

I always knew monster cables we're overpriced, however, I never knew they were just flat out bad quality. Never will I ever buy a monster cable again.
