Customer Reviewsfrom May 22, 2010 If you want to listen to the radio through your mic cables, buy these!!I was out on the road without enough XLR cables, and with tons of perfectly silent, rugged and reliable cables at home, I couldn't justify anything more than the cheapest they had at Guitar Center. Bad move. Surprisingly, these cables we're, in fact, the cheapest. They also worked great for a few days. When I got them back home, however, the buzz, hum and even radio broadcasts these cables picked up made them unusable. Not wanting to bother returning them, I cut away the rubber sheath around one of the connectors to investigate the problem. The first thing I found is the actual connectors are nothing more than the run of the mill connectors that are readily available all over ebay. The second thing I found was that the cable was in fact wired INCORRECTLY. Knowing this, I cut the cable as close to the connector as possible and spliced it back together with the correct wiring. Naturally, it was dead silent.I always knew monster cables we're overpriced, however, I never knew they were just flat out bad quality. Never will I ever buy a monster cable again. |
