Patty, El Sobrante, CA Reviewsbased on 4 reviewsGreat for a variety of styles
by Paxson Helgesen from Chicago, IL
I am a recording engineer, and use this amp frequently in my studio. It offers a decidedly British tube tone that is distinctly different from a Marshall. October 29, 2012 Music Background: Recording Engineer, Musician I originally bought the amp when ... read more [+]I was playing in a heavier style of music, and the high-gain is voiced in a pleasant way and well articulated. Now, i'm using it for more rock/indie based music with the gain at about 12 'o'clock just until it begins to breakup. What REALLY sets this amp apart, to me at least, is the clean channel. The clean channel has enough low end response and high end articulation to sound both brilliant without sacrificing body. That is one of the best selling points of this amp to me, but the Distortion channel is not to be underestimated either. The reverb is usable for more ambient styles, but I haven't found anything past 9 o'clock to be musically useful. I've played a lot of amps, a lot of varied genres of music, and this amp is not one to miss. Grab it. close [-] Metal Madness!!

Yes,,you read it right!! This amp will scream for metal guitar with plenty of gain and distortion. I wasn't sure about it until I bough one. Kind of hard decision between Mesa Mark V and Rockeverb,,bu... read more [+]t now I believe I made the right choice. With gain on dirty channel at 3 o'clock,I heard a great distort crunch rhythm that I never experienced before. With gain all the way up,,your solo will sustain for days. This amp not only different cosmetically, but also "sing" in different way (great way). I love it more than Marshall JVM. But,,of course I still want Mesa Mark V for next time,,just to complete my arsenal. close [-]
March 11, 2012 Music Background: Guitarist and Recording Engineer. Smooth sound, heavy thump, I love it!
by Brad Jones from Boulder
The rockerverb 50 MKII is a cool head. It is incredibly thumpy for 50 watts. The drive channel is a little noisy, but beautiful. The clean sounds are outstanding. I like the reverb, but only if yo... read more [+]u use a little of it. It is pretty rich and can become overbearing if you use too much. Physically, this sucker is heavy. I feel like this is the best built head I have ever seen. It is a tank of a unit. I own a OR50 and a Rockerverb. I like the OR50 slightly more for guitar, but the Rockerverb is more diverse and has more options. close [-]
August 31, 2012 Music Background: Professional Guitar Player The Color Orange
by Bobby from Dallas, TX USA!
The Rockerverb 50 mkII is a versatile head that can cover pretty much any genre of electric guitar music. June 1, 2012 Music Background: Hobbyist The clean channel can be chimey and articulate, or cranked for a huge sound, and push... read more [+]ing it with a pedal is killer. The dirty channel covers classic to modern, loose n wooly to tight n heavy, all with that unique Orange voicing...organic, woody, warm. The reverb can be set conservatively for a polite sweetening, or cranked for a glorious cavern of psychedelic atmosphere. Takes all of my guitars well, each sounding different, none sounding bad. It's my favorite amp so far, and I've had tons, Bogner, Soldano, Marshall, Zinky, Fryette...The Orange sound is so thick you can almost take a bite out of it. It'd be a 5 if it came with the footswitch. close [-] Also popular
